Ristorante Review : 100 ft Boutique

100 ft Boutique ,Indiranagar is a classy ,relaxed restaurant that serves some of the most amazing continental, mediterranean food I've had in Bangalore. Located on the busy Indirananagar 100ft road, this would be one of my top choices for dinner after a busy day at work :) .
I had heard mixed reviews about the place and most of the good ones were particularly from veggie friends .I being a complete non vegetarian was quite skeptical initially .
So one fine day a friend of mine and I decided on 100 ft boutique as our lunch destination for that weekend .I vaguely remember, that was the time when we'd made a pact that we would explore new restaurants every weekend !( the complete food buffs that we are , we did go to quite a few)

Before you go on reading, please note this is going to be a purely non vegetarian review ;).

Ambience : The place has a boutique as the name suggests. Some really cool and trendy stuff for display and sale here . Stuff includes a whole bunch of things from artifacts to handbags, to footwear ! It's a great concept .Once you are done placing your order, you could stroll around the boutique and shell out some more money ;) .
The general theme of the place is white, lends a classy touch. The restaurant has a ground floor open air seating and a terrace area.Downstairs, the open seating area , which is candle lit is pleasant, has a nice cafe feel to it, but the traffic outside does not help the mood set in .The terrace is decent, chilled out ,comfortable seating with an open bar .

Let's jump right on to the Food -
Appetizers :The appetizer menu is nothing exceptional to choose from.I would recommend Chicken Tzaziki, a greek starter, quite similar to the indian reshmi kabab but with a herby twist :) .Comes with an interesting dip (cucumber I guess) .Very refreshing, not too heavy ,nicely marinated tender chicken.
For maincourse it would a be thumbs up for "Butter Fly tiger prawns", mouth watering tiger prawns served in an orange(sundried tomato) sauce with buttered veggies. You could ask for the dish to be served with rice or garlic bread. The best part of this delicacy is that the flavors are just perfect not overwhelming .The prawns are well cooked and the sauce is the killer .The buttered veggies add to the whole experience.
Another dish I would recommend is Herbs Chicken yummy sauce , no overpowering herbs , chicken should be tender to enjoy the dish to the fullest. This one is usually in the Chef's list of specials for the day.So it might taste different based on the "Chef" of the day :).I've had two versions of it so far and I'd say it is a safe option.
For the mushroom sauce lovers out there, presenting "Mushroom Smothered chicken".Tender chunks of chicken in mushroom sauce, heavy on the tummy but yummy!
Pasta lovers, 100ft has a nice pasta menu.Ive tried the pollo picante(similar to an arrabiata style sauce).I'm not a big fan of arrbiata sauce, but this sauce is nicely done and the pasta is not too tangy .
The last course; I never have any place left for dessert after the maincourse :p.Sincere apologies to the Dessert freaks, no reviews there!

So you'd ask "Sounds like a super cool place, but whats the pricing like?". The answer to that is "$$$" - expensive.
Good place to go to if you are feeling rich and want to enjoy a nice long meal.
So on a scale of 5 I would give 100ft Boutique a 3.5 rating :).
100 ft ...you should be Delighted !
